Andreas Bunte

Der Garten des M. Leretnac (The garden of M. Leretnac) is the title of a 16mm film by Andreas Bunte which circles, amongst other ideas and phenomena, around the 19th century landscape and sculpture garden as „Gesamtkunstwerk“ (total art work) and machinist phantasy. The photograph and material collages of the homonymous edition are based on the research material for the film which constructs a hybrid narrative. Two-dimensional cube objects hinting at construction methods and landscapes form momentary filmic assemblages which dissolve into singular components the next moment. The collages similarily only appear to construct a coherent narrative whereas they combine singular photographs and emblematic components.
