Die egozentrischen Zwei

A lecture full of image and music samples by Alfred Hilsberg (ZickZack) and Felix Kubin (Gagarin Records) in conversation with Werner Büttner (HFBK)
The Kunstverein foyer is just the right place for Jena Paradies revisited. The original Jena Paradies restaurant was always a place where artists, musicians and good food came together.

Alfred Hilsberg, who founded the label "ZickZack" in late 1979, long before Jena Paradies was started, promoted bands like Abwärts, Einstürzende Neubauten, Die Tödliche Doris and F.S.K. He then founded a new label "What’s So Funny About" and worked with the likes of Blumfeld and Jens Friebe. Artist and musician Felix Kubin founded the independent music label "Gagarin", which is dedicated to "electronic anarchism". Both men present selected music and sound samples and, with the artist Werner Büttner, discuss issues like musical socialisation, the art scene and why on earth they’re still here.
