The central aspect of the photographic work by Amelie Zadeh (*1985 in Linz, AT, lives in Hamburg, GER) is the question of the narrative structure of an image. As if the prints of her photographs were images of analogue images, literally abstractions of an object, abstractions of identity. Media images that surround us in times of constant image fluctuation are permanently being replaced, overridden, censored, forgotten and recovered again. The crisis in print media, the loss of the haptic is addressed in the series "It Is not Here to Tell": Excerpts of medial images - from promileaks or fashion to war photos - are encoded in a new way through different processes in the darkroom (solarization, coloration). For each term (f.i. "Hands", "Eye", "Palm Tree"), which is similar to an index, Zadeh creates serial deductions, in which the materiality and the differences of each exposure become visible.
