"Die Basis des Make-Up (The Base of Make-Up)“ is a series of more than 600 drawings Heinz Emigholz (*1948 in Achim, (GER), lives in Berlin, (GER)) works on since 1974. He documents the constant drawing and marking of environmental cutouts and sensations he perceives – a diary full of collage-like inserts, colored underlinings, framings, highlightings, newspaper headlines as well as images – a great artistic atlas project. All the elements, the visual signs and the medial resources mirror and relate to each other in a very intelligent and highly artificial way. This reflection and intersection of references and media create a vibrant weave of images. The editions for the Kunstverein in Hamburg are showing two views of Hamburg. They were produced in the 1980s – at that time Emigholz was living in Hamburg.

Single paper 900 Euro; both papers 1.700
